Corner in Bloom – Hello

Welcome back!  Merrily we go along…

A number of challenges today: TGIF (#510) is asking us to use items from the Sale-abration Brochure and I selected the stamp set – Corner in Bloom and the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper.  Today at Stampin’ Through the Catalog, the featured stamp set is Elements of Text, and On-Line Exclusive product.

My card design was influenced by Cupcake Inspiration (#610) to Add a Tag and Color Dare (#637) for the Palette.

Here is the result:

CORNER IN BLOOM – ELEMENTS OF TEXT – POISED PEONY – TGIFC510 – STTC – CIC610 – CD637
  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Petunia Pop cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Purple toned Floral patterned piece of paper from the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Vertical Cross Panel: (2½” x 5¼”) Purple toned Ombre patterned piece of paper, the reverse side of the Floral paper.
    • Ink Spot Splatter was added with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Blackberry ink using one of the Ink Splatter images from the Elements of Text stamp set.
    • Using a Sponge Dauber, the top right and bottom left edges of the Panel were darkened with Petunia Pop ink.
  • Tag Accent Mat: (2¼” x 3½”) Blackberry Bliss cardstock die-cut with the (1⅞” x 3”) Rectangular die from the Something Fancy Dies set.
  • Tag: (2x 3”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (1⅝” x 2⅝”) Rectangular die, also from the Something Fancy Dies set.
    • The Tag was stamped with one of the Text images from the Elements of Text stamp set with 2nd Generation Petunia Pop ink.
  • Decoration – Floral Swag: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • A Floral image from the Corner in Bloom stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Petunia Pop and Blackberry Bliss and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Circle: Petunia Pop cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, hello, from the Poised Peony stamp set was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink and then die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Tag Ribbon: (6”) Petunia Pop Bordered Ribbon.
    • One half of the Ribbon was colored with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker and then cut in half.  The two pieces were knotted, and the Ribbon was frayed.

All elements were adhered to the card base with both the Floral Swag and the Sentiment popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty all occasion card.

  4. Your pretty card has a few of my very favorite things: purple, texture, text, layers & inky yumminess. She’s a beauty! Thank you for sharing at Color Dare.
