Simply Said – Celebrate

Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#456) we have a Birthday Inspiration Board.

To complete my design, I selected the Sunday Stamps (#353) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock previously die-cut with the Soft Wave die from the retired Brilliant Backgrounds Dies set still in my stash.
• Cross Strip: (4” x 1½”) Flirty Flamingo Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Frame and Inset: (3” x 4¼”) Summer Splash and Flirty Flamingo cardstocks die-cut with the Scalloped Hexagon Frame die from the Wildflower Designs Dies set.
• Focal Shape: (2¼” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the Stitched Hexagon die, also from the Wildflower Designs Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Celebrate, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• Decoration – Birthday Cake: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Birthday Cake image from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen; Light Flirty Flamingo, Light Summer Splash and Light Daffodil Delight and then the image was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Attention Shoppers Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Birthday Cake popped up with Dimensionals. 

A bright and pretty Birthday card!
