A Fish & A Wish – A Sea of Thanks

Design Team Time: This round at Cardz 4 Guyz (#365) we are asked to create a CAS (clean and simple) card.

For my theme, I chose Alphabet (Letter U) for Underwater; For my Sketch, I chose Paper Craft Crew (#606) highlighting a Stampin’ Up! layout option; and I am sharing this card with Inspire Create (#185), who is also looking for a CAS Card Design.

Here is the result:

A FISH & A WISH – SEASCAPE – C4G365 – ALPHABET Letter U – PCC606 – ICC185

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Afternoon Azure cardstock.
  • Card Front: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
    • From the retired A Fish and A Wish stamp set, the Wave image was stamped four times with Balmy Blue ink to create the Center Square shape.
    • The Kelp image, from the same stamp set was stamped with Shade Spruce ink for the Lower Left larger Circle shape.
    • The Bubble image from the retired Seascape stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy ink for the Upper Right Circle shape.
    • The sentiment, A Sea of Thanks, also from the A Fish and a Wish stamp set was stamped with Afternoon Azure ink.
  • Decoration – Fish: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The two Fish images were stamped with Afternoon Azure and Night of Navy ink and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Fish were popped up with Dimensionals with the smaller Fish representing the smaller Lower Left Circle Shape.

A nice little thank you card most suitable for a fellow.
