Everyday Greetings – Love You

Sneaking in another CAS (clean and simple) card for you.

Playing with Just Us Girls (#760) where we are challenged to CASE a Design Team Member’s card.  I selected Carol Mayne’s masculine card with sneakers flipping her layout and swapping blue for red.

Additional influences: Inspired By (#321) for the colors, red, white and gray with a Valentine theme; Tic Tac Toe (#263) opting for CAS, Red, and a Love Sentiment and sharing with Addicted to Stamps and More (#485) choosing to use dies.

Here is the result:

EPIC CELEBRATIONS – EVERYDAY GREETINGS – JUGS760 – IB321 – TTTC263 – ATSAM485
  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment Window was die-cut with the (1¾” x 1⅛”) Rectangle Stitched die from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
    • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a bit of texture and the corners were punched with the retired Corner Rounder Punch.
  • Accent Mat: (3¼” x 2½”) Smoky Slate cardstock die-cut with the (3” x 2⅜”) Rectangle Stitched die, also from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
  • Focal Panel: (3” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the 2⅝” x 1⅞”) Rectangle Stiteched die, again from the Nested Essentials Dies set.
    • The Sneakers image from the retired Epic Celebrations stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Real Red and Light Smoky Slate and some shadowing added with the retired Light Soft Sky.
  • Sentiment Underlay: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Love You, from the Everyday Greetings stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink and added in behind the Background Panel showing through the Window die-cut.

All elements were adhered flush to the left of the card base to resemble the flipped sketch.

  1. Jolanda… loving those red sneakers! I have a very large sneaker stamp from Picket Fence that I often use for breast cancer awareness (coloring pink to support the walk) but will definitely check this smaller version out. As always, thanks for sharing your talents with Just Us Girls!
