Simply Said – Hello

Welcome back!  A brand-new month…February is already here.

Two challenges this morning:  Colors from the Facebook Global Design Project (#481) Team combined with the Atlantic Hearts (#614) Sketch for a sweet little Hello card.

Here is the result:

SIMPLY SAID – GDP481 – AHSC614

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Calypso Coral cardstock.
  • Accent Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Calypso Coral Brushed patterned piece of paper from the retired Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Rectangle Panels: (1½” x 3⅝”) Calypso Coral and Petal Pink Striped patterned pieces of paper from the retired Les Shoppes Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Accent Circle Mat: (2¼” x 2¼”) Old Olive cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Sentiment Circle: Die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, from the Accent Mat.
    • The sentiment, Hello, from the Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
  • Decoration – Flowers & Leaves: Basic White, Pretty Peacock, Old Olive and Calypso Coral cardstock scraps
    • Using the Leaf Label die from the Unbounded Love Dies set, the Leaf Edge element was die-cut from both the Pretty Peacock and Old Olive pieces.  The Pretty Peacock Leaf Outline was adhered to the Basic White piece for support and the Old Olive Chads were adhered in place.  The entire piece was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
    • Using the Three-Flower die from the retired Around The Bend Dies set, the Calypso Coral Flowers were created.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. It takes a little bit of time and patience to do the Paper-Piecing, but it looks so nice when completed.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
