Quilted Comfort – You’re the Best

Welcome back!  That’s a wrap for January.

The Challenges: Stampin’ Up! Only (#368) Inspiration with such a cozy room and Sunday Stamps (#352) for the Sketch and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#753) for their Anything Goes theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Real Red cardstock dry-embossed with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Cross Tab Back: (2¼” x 3¾”) Blueberry Bushel Gingham patterned piece of paper from the retired Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Tab Front: Real Red Gingham patterned paper from the retired Christmas Quilt Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle Shape Accent Mat: (3” x 3”) Blueberry Bushel cardstock die-cut with the (2¾”) Circle die from the retired Starburst Framelits Dies set.
• Focal Image – Quilt Circle: (3” x 3”) Red & White Quilt patterned piece of paper, also from the Christmas Quilt Designer Series paper pack die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Circle: Blueberry Bushel cardstock scrap (or better yet from the Accent Mat).
  • The sentiment, You’re the Best, from the Happiest Day stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

I really gravitated to the Red and Blue coloring as well as the Cozy Quilt and Plaid patterns throughout the room.
