Café Love – Happy Birthday

Welcome back!  Lots of red, pink, hearts and love stuff out there…

So, Color Dare (#635) is sporting Pink and Red, Seize the Birthday (#298) suggests adding Red and the neutral Kraft while TGIF (#509) introduces a coffee theme.  Bringing all these elements together, I chose the Saturday Sketch (#768) layout which has a theme twist to add a Heart.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Bubble Bath cardstock.
• Vertical Rectangles: (1¼” x 2⅝”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Cross Hatch Pattern Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Horizontal Rectangles: (3⅞” x 1¼) Real Red cardstock dry-embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.
• Central Rectangle: (2½” x 1¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Square: (1¾” x 1¾”) Bubble Bath cardstock scrap die-cut with the (1½” x 1½”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Heart Inset: Real Red cardstock scrap.
  • The Small Coffee Cup image from the retired Merry Café stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and also heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Using the Heart die from the retired Hearts A Flutter Framelits Dies set, the Coffee Cup was centrally die-cut within and then dry-embossed with the same Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Additionally, a Heart was die-cut from the Bubble Bath Square to accommodate the Real Red Heart.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

A great themed birthday card to add a Favorite Coffee Shop Gift card as a wee present.
