Candy Christmas – A Sugar-Sprinkled Season

A quick little card for you this afternoon.

Over at AAA Cards (#282), the challenge is to follow the leader.  A case of a clean and simple card by Marlies.  A white -on-white with a pop of color.  So yes, I will follow her lead but with a Candy Christmas theme for Jingle Belles (#2502).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Die-Cuts: Basic White cardstock scraps die-cut with Snowflake dies from the retired Snowflake Card Thinlits Dies set.
• Tag Accent Mat: Sweet Sorbet cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2” x 1⅜”) Tag die from the retired Tags & Labels Framelits Dies set.
• Sentiment Tag: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (1¾” x 1⅛”) Tag die from the same set.
  • The sentiment, Have a Sugar-Sprinkled Season!, from the retired Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink.
• Decoration – Candy Canes: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Candy Cane image from the retired Scentsational Season stamp set was stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink.  One as is and the other in reverse using the Silicone Craft Sheet.
  • Both Candy Canes were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Decoration – Peppermints: Candy Gems from the November 2020 Jolly Gingerbread Paper Pumpkin Kit colored lightly with the Light Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blend Marker.

All elements were adhered to the cardbase to essentially reflect the nature of Marlies’s card.

A sweet clean and simple holiday card.
