Double Fun Fold – Quilt Card

Welcome back!  Lots of inspiration for this card…

Over at Stampin’ Through The Catalog today, Teri West was invited to be a Guest Designer and we are invited to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) her card.

My Take-aways were the overall card layout design, quilt element, and floral die-cut.

I selected three colors from the Sunday Stamps (#351) inspiration board and created a double fun fold card for Creative Creases (#99) and sharing with Inkspirational (#332) for their pretty quilt theme.

 Here is the result:

EVERYDAY GREETINGS – STTC Teri West – SSC351 – CCC99 – IC332

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
  • Background Accent Panel: (4” x 4¼”) Moody Mauve cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder for the stitch design.
  • Top Card Base: (6¼” x 4⅝” scored at 3⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Quilt Layer Base: (4½” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Quilt Pattern Pieces: 18 x (1½” x ½”) Moody Mauve, Pebbled Path and Early Espresso patterned pieces of paper from the 2023/2024 In-Color Collection and 2024/2025 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper packs.
    • The patterned paper pieces were arranged in a Six-Block Quilt pattern and adhered to the Base Layer.  The complete Quilt piece was also dry-embossed with the Softly Sophisticated 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Decoration – Stitched Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps die-cut with Floral Piece dies from the retired Pierced Blooms Dies set.
    • The Flowers were slightly colored with Moody Mauve ink applied with a Sponge Dauber as were the Leaves with Pebbled Path ink.
  • Sentiment: Early Espresso cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, love you, from the Everyday Greetings stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and closely trimmed with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble Teri’s layout.

Kind of fun to have a double card.  Easy to add a gift card into the small top card and lots of room for writing your note in the large card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
