Heart Shaped – Guy Valentine

Welcome back! It is Saturday and the weekend is here!

I have a little grungy masculine valentine for you today.

Combining Just Us Girls (#757) and Creative Colour (#175) with the Facebook Global Design Project (#478) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • For the left Block Shape, The Dashed image from the Textured Timber stamp set, a Last Chance item product still available, was stamped with 2^nd Generation (stamped-off once) Pecan Pie ink on the diagonal.
  • The smaller Text image from the Elements of Text stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was then stamped over top with Pecan Pie ink on the same diagonal.
  • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder following the same diagonal lines.
  • Using a Sponge Dauber, the edges and corners were highlighted with Pecan Pie ink for a grungy feel.
• Circle Shape – Heart: (3” x 2½”) Shy Shamrock and Basic Beige cardstock die-cut with the Filagree Leave Heart die from the Heart Shaped Dies set, a free item selection from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Brochure with a qualifying purchase.
  • The Basic Beige inset piece was dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and the texture was highlighted with Pecan Pie ink applied with a Blending Brush.
• Sentiment Blocks: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, My heart loves your heart, from the coordinating Heart Shaped stamp set, also a free item selection from the Sale-a-bration Brochure with a qualifying purchase, was stamped with Melon Mambo ink and closely trimmed and cut apart with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble sketch with the Sentiment Blocks were popped up with Dimensionals. 

A cool masculine valentine…approved by my husband.
