Winter Meadow – Great Friend

Welcome back!  A new week has started.

For today I have a study in Black, White and Gray for a few challenges featuring wintery themes that include animals: Color Throwdown (#824) and Four Seasons (January 2025). 

I selected the Freshly Made Sketch (#667) for its winter motif and central focal design.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (11” x 4¼” scored at 5½”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Gray patterned cut card base from the Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes Pack.
• Focal Image – Winter Deer Scene: (2¾” x 2¾”) Deer patterned piece of paper from the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle Frame: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (2⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Focal image was adhered behind the Circle frame and then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a little bit of additional texture.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, For a great friend, from the Mixed Labels stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The sentiment was then die-cut with the (2¾” x ½”) Stitched Banner die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base and the sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

A very attractive monochromatic masculine card.
