Pretty Petals – Thanks

Welcome back. No WIFI today, so excuse any operator errors as I create this post via my phone.

The challenges: Facebook Stampin’ Through the Catalog – today’s selection: Pretty Petals, an On-Line Exclusive product; TGIF (#505) Thank You theme; Color Dare (#632) palette choices – Gorgeous Grape, Lost Lagoon, Moody Mauve and Pool Party; and bringing it all together, a very clean and simple interpretation of the Sunday Stamps (#350) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
• Center Shape and Side Shapes:
  • The foliage images from the Pretty Petals stamp set were stamped with Lost Lagoon ink.
  • The coordinating floral images were stamped with Moody Mauve and Gorgeous Grape ink.
• Rectangle Shape:
  • Using torn copy paper, a mask was made and Pool Party ink was added with a Blending Brush.
• Sentiment:
  • The word, thanks, from the Spotlight on Nature stamp set was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink.
• The panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a slight linen look.

A pretty thank you card, very quick and simple.
