Everyday Greetings – Birthday

Hey!  Welcome to 2025. Hoping you have a great year coming your way.

I had a nice holiday break but it is now time to get back to business…

Design Team Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#493) where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The card can be found on page 61 of the Sep – Dec Mini Catalog.  

A new year with a new birthday in silver and gold for Inspired By (#316) and sharing with Krafty Chicks (#748) All Occasions – Birthday and Can You Handle The Pressure (#69) for Embossed Texture.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Brushed Silver cardstock (retired and still in my stash) dry-embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder.
• Block (1): (3¼” x 3¼”) Brushed Gold cardstock (retired and still in my stash) dry-embossed with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder.
• Block (2): (2½” x 2½”) Silver Sparkle Striped patterned piece of paper recovered and saved from my stash.
• Sentiment Label: (2½” x 1″) Basic Black cardstock.
  • The sentiment words, Happy and Birthday, from the Greetings of the Season and the Everyday Greetings stamp sets respectively, both On-Line Exclusive products, were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
• Decoration – Floral Spray: Laser Cut image selected from the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack.
  • With my Fine-Tipped Black Liquid Gel Pen, I colored over the Pecan Pie details with black to better blend with the Sentiment Label and Card Base.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The top Block, Sentiment and Floral Spray were all popped up with Dimensionals.

An elegant birthday card…
