Welcome Door Wreath – Believe

Welcome back! The Christmas countdown has started…I am going to have to get my “chore” mojo going as company is coming and that means there is just over a week to get ready.  But my Wreath is up!

Inspiration: The Card Concept (#212) with a pretty wreath and color suggestion; Colorful Options (December) with red, green and gold; Farm Quest Country Christmas (#15) for a winter outdoor theme; If You Give a Crafter a Cookie (#199) for the sentiment; sharing with Krafty Chicks (#746) for their Christmas theme; and bringing it all together, the Atlantic Hearts (#607) sketch.

Here is the result:

CHRISTMAS LABELS – A VARIETY OF DIES – TCC212 – COC December 2024 – FQCCCB15 – CC199 – KCC746 – AHSC607

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Shaded Spruce cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3½” x 4¾”) Pecan Pie cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder to resemble the side of a house.
  • Rectangle Shape: (3” x 4”) x 2 Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut with the larger Tag die from the Greetings of the Season Dies set dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder and overlapped to create a door.  The Rectangle Shape was flipped from the horizontal position to a vertical position to create the impression of a door.
  • Focal Image – Wreath: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Shaded Spruce and Old Olive cardstock scraps.  I chose to create a wreath from the idea of a swag.
    • Wreath Base: Using the (2¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set and the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, I created the Wreath Ring from a (2½” x 2½”) scrap of Early Espresso cardstock.
    • Berries: Using the Berry die from the retired Tree Rings Dies set, eight Berry Sprigs were die-cut from a scrap piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
    • Pine Fronds: Using the Pine Leaf dies from the Wintery Tree Tops Dies set, four Fronds were die-cut from a scrap of Shaded Spruce cardstock.
    • Spruce Fronds: Using the Leaf die from the Sentimental Wishes Dies set, four Fronds were die-cut from a scrap of Old Olice cardstock.
    • All of the Sprigs and Fronds were adhered to the Wreath Ring.
  • Sentiment Label: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
    • The word, Believe, from the Christmas Labels stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the smaller Label die from the Unbounded Love Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A pretty Bow was tied using the Gold Satin Edged Ribbon and added to the door above the Wreath and several gold-toned retired Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots from my stash were added to the Wreath for some additional bling.  The Sentiment Banner was popped up with Dimensionals.

Lovely!
