Design Team Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#489) where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs. Today? The card can be found on page 24 of the Sep – Dec Mini Catalog.

So much inspiration…similar colors and themes and I just had to use pretty papers in my stash: .Jingle Belles (#2424) to use their annual Banner and I chose the Glimmering White, Red, and some Pink with a Poinsettia; Tic Tac Toe (#261) Diagonal Line including Sparkle with Red and/or Pink and a Poinsettia thrown in for good measure; Stampin’ Up! Only (#366) All that Glitters; Inspired By (#312) a Shimmery Celebration with Pinks, Reds and White; and Park Hopping (December) for much of the same including Poinsettias.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper, a really pretty creamy white sparkly paper from my stash.
- Background Panel: (3½” x 4⅝”) Red Glimmer Paper, also from my stash.
- Rounded Square Shapes: (1⅜” x 1⅜”) Bubble Bath Soft Shimmer Specialty Paper, also from my stash.
- The corners were clipped with the small Corner Rounder Punch, still part of my tool arsenal.
- On two of the Squares, the word, Merry, from the Greetings of the Season stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.
- Focal Image: (3” x 2½”) Mother of Pearl Specialty Paper.
- The Poinsettia Flower from the retired Reason for the Season stamp set was stamped with Jet Black Stazon ink and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- The card was assembled.
- The Card Front Mother of Pearl piece was adhered in place.
- The Bubble Bath Soft Shimmer Squares were adhered in place to resemble the sketch on the Red Glimmer Paper and the edges trimmed.
- Two pieces of (⅛”) Silver Trim Ribbon were wrapped around the Panel.
- The Panel was then adhered to the Card Font.
- The Poinsettia Flower was popped up with Dimensionals and three small Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels, from my stash, were added to the center of the Flower.
A very pretty card…Ho, Ho, Ho!
Happy Holidays!
