Cozy Moments

Welcome back!  And just like that, another week has started…

Today’s challenges: Time Out (#267) with a Cozy Theme; Color Dare (#626) as those are really cozy colors; Freshly Made (#662) Sketch, and sharing with Can You Handle The Pressure (#67) featuring Warm Drinks.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
• Accent Strip: (5½” x ½”) Boho Blue cardstock scrap hand torn.
• Focal Panel: (5½” x 3”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The Reading Girl image and the Relax sentiment from the retired In The Moment stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso ink.
  • The Girl was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  (BROWN) Dog and Hair – Light and Dark Pecan Pie; (BLUE) Book, Jeans, Socks, and Coffee Cup – Light and Dark Boho Blue; (PEACH) Face and Hand – Light and Dark Petal Pink; Pillow and Comforter – Light and Dark Peach Pie with Light Calypso Coral shading; and (RUST) Blanket – Light and Dark Cajun Craze.
  • The Girl was die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder to mimic a Coverlet.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Girl was fitted back into the opening.

Great advice…curling up with a good book under a comfy blanket with a lovely cup of coffee is my preferred way to relax. How about you?
