Merry Tag – Christmas Cardinal

Welcome back!  It is time for some Christmas challenges…

Inspired By (#310) Tags; Krafty Chicks (#742) Theme; and Colorful Options (November) Red.

Along with the Farm Quest Country Christmas (#14) Theme and Critter Crazy (#92) by including a Bird.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Accent Panel: (3″ x 5¼”) Crumb Cake Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Tag: (2¾” x 4”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • The Tag was die-cut with the Tag die from the Merry Tags & More Dies set, a Paper Pumpkin Add-On product.
  • The word, Christmas, from the Nests of Christmas stamp set from the October 2024 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Nests of Christmas, was stamped with Garden Green ink.
  • The Tag was then dry-embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
• Sentiment Word: Real Red cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Merry, was die-cut with the Merry die, also from the Merry Tags & More Dies set.
• Decoration – Cardinal and Ferns: Basic White and Garden Green cardstock.
  • The Ferns were die cut with the Fern die, also from the Merry Tags & More Dies set.
  • The Cardinal image, also from the Nests of Christmas stamp set, was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bird – Dark Real Red and Light Cherry Cobbler; Beak & Talons – Dark Daffodil Delight.
  • The Cardinal was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were then adhered to the card base and the Cardinal was popped up with Dimensionals.

Love adding a county flair to Red and Green with a touch of Crumb Cake for a really nice Holiday card.
