Party Bubbles – Birthday Card

Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#451), we are using a fun set of colors.

To that end, I selected the Saturday Sketch (#763) layout and the Alphabet (Letter P) for the theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Top Panel: (4” x 1¾”) Balmy Blue Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2025 Subtles Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Bottom Panel: (4” x 3⅝”) Pebbled Path Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2023/2025 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Tag: (2¼” x 4″) Basic White cardstock die-cut with the (2” x 3⅞”) Tag die from the retired Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
  • The sentiment, happy birthday, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
• Bow: Cherry Cobbler cardstock scrap die-cut with the Bow die from the retired Balloon Framelits Dies set.
• Decoration – Party Gifts: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Gift Bag, Wine Bottle and Flower Bouquet images from the Attention Shoppers stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Bag, Flowers and Wine Label / Cap were colored with the Cherry Cobbler Watercolor Pencil.
  • Using a Blender Pen, along with color picked up from the Smoky Slate (Tissue and Bottle) and Balmy Blue (Floral Wrap) ink pads, the coloring was complete.
  • The images were then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Gifts were popped up with Dimensionals.

Time to get the party started!  Looking forward to seeing how you choose to use the colors and what you will create with them for our HSS challenge.
