Welcome back! A few more deadlines…
Starting with the Atlantic Hearts (#601) Sketch and the Facebook Color INKspiration (#176) Palette.
Further inspired by the Shopping Our Stash (#533) and Seize The Birthday (#294) Themes and sharing with Cupcake Inspiration (#605) which has a similar color scheme.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
- Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5¼”) Petunia Pop cardstock.
- The Feather image from the retired Four Feathers stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The panel was dry-embossed with the retired Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder and then the top and bottom edges were hand-torn.
- Using the (3”) Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, a Circle was die-cut.
- Circle Shape: (3¼” x 3¼”) Granny Apple Green cardstock die-cut with the same (3”) Circle die.
- The Splatter image from the retired Gorgeous Leaves stamp set was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink.
- Sentiment Banner: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, You’re in my Thoughts, from the retired Hills of Tuscany stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and hand-flagged with Paper Snips. A birthday greeting was added to the inside of the card.
- Decoration – Birds on a Wire: Basic Black cardstock scrap.
- A die gifted to me from Kokorosa Studios, was used to die-cut the Birds.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. I opted to forgo the ribbon/bow element.
