Country Home – Happy Day

Welcome back!  Hope that you had an enjoyable week. It has taken me a little longer than expected to get back into the swing of things post my vacation…but I am glad to be back in the Studio!

Today, I am playing with Retro Rubber (#242) Fall Card – Fall Colors, Sketch Saturday (#762) for the Layout and Color Dare (#625) for the Specific Colors.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
• Accent Panel #1: (5¼” x 4”) Crushed Curry cardstock.
• Accent Panel #2: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Cherry Cobbler cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5″ x 3¾”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The Splatter image from the retired Gorgeous Leaves stamp set (circa 2021) was colored with the Crushed Curry, Cherry Cobbler and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped twice, overlapping the Crushed Curry area to create the five-stack image as per the sketch.
  • The sentiment, You are the Happy to my Day, from the retired Country Home stamp set (circa 2018) was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink.
• Shape: (2” x 3½”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The Pitcher image and the Floral Arrangement image from the Country Home stamp set were stamped with Pretty Peacock and Pecan Pie inks, respectively.
  • The image was then colored with Stampin’ Blends / Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers.  Colors chosen: Cotton Bolls – Medium Daffodil Delight; Leaves – Light Pretty Peacock; Berries and Lotus Pods – Light Cherry Cobbler; and Pitcher – Light Smoky Slate.
  • The image was die-cut with the (1⅞” x 3⅜”) Elongated Octagonal die from the Countryside Corners Dies set and the edges were sponged with Cherry Cobler ink using a Sponge Dauber.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Floral Arrangement was popped-up with Dimensionals.
