Autumn – Thanks

Design Team Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#479) where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The card can be found on page 30 of the Sep – Dec Mini Catalog.

I have been away for a few days, and I am making up for lost time…several challenges are following a similar theme – Autumn.

Inspiration: Inspired By (#302) Fall Leaves; Stampin’ Up Only (#361) Fall Colors; Inspiration Station (#65) Fall Colors; Shopping Our Stash (#531) Leaves ; TGIF (#491) Sweater Weather (Fall); and Alphabet (Letter M) for a Masculine card.

Here is the result:

AUTUMN LEAVES – CT479 – IB302 – SUOC361 – ISC65 – SOS531 – TGIFC491 – Alphabet Letter M

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Copper Clay cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5½” x 3¾”) Cinnamon Cider cardstock (retired) from my Stash Bin die-cut with the Diamond Square Cut-Out die from the retired Brilliant Backgrounds Dies set currently available on the Clearance Rack.
  • Cross Strip: (5½” x 2¼”) Orange Toned patterned piece of paper from the now retired Mix-In Paper Packet (May/June), a CTMH product that was available as an On-Line Exclusive purchase.
  • Sentiment Strip: (5½” x 1”) Wood Toned patterned piece of paper from the Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper pack, and On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Sentiment: Crushed Curry cardstock scrap die-cut with the word Thanks die from the retired Greetings Thinlits Dies set.
  • Decoration – Leaves: Pretty Peacock, Crushed Curry, Copper Clay, Cajun Craze, and Garden Green cardstock scraps.
    • The Leaves were die-cut using a variety of Die sets: Textured Florals, Changing Leaves (OLE), Every Celebration (Paper Pumpkin Add-On), and Chic Dies (R).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Several Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots were added to the center of the Leaf Spray to complete the design.

A very warm and cozy celebration of Fall colors for a nice masculine thank you card.

Looking forward to seeing how you choose to use the sketch.

  3. Ooh, I love the warm tones of Copper Clay and Cinnamon Cider together on your card, I’m going to have to use those colors together on a scrapbook layout sometime. They’re so warm and cozy together. Great mix of colors for your leaf dies, too. Thanks for playing along with us at SUO Challenges!
