Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#706) challenge. This week, Elizabeth has chosen the primary color scheme of red, yellow and blue. How about a clean and simple birthday card, perfect for a child?

I am sharing this card with Crafter’s Café (#311) for their Rainbows theme; Heart’s Quest Celebration Of Love (#9) for their Birthday option; and Simply Clean & Simple (#15) for the Style.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Daffodil Delight cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (2¾” x 4”) Azure Afternoon cardstock.
- Background Panel: (2½” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
- The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Friends For Life stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink.
- Accent Mat: (1½” x 1½”) Real Red cardstock scrap.
- Accent Mat: (1¼” x 1¼”) Daffodil Delight cardstock scrap.
- Accent Strip: (⅝” x 1⅞”) Azure Afternoon cardstock scrap.
- Focal Image: (1” x 1” ) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The Rainbow Arcs and the sentiment, hey, from the Happiest Day stamp set were stamped with Azure Afternoon, Real Red and Daffodil Delight inks.
All elements were adhered to the card base for a very clean and simple #simplestamping card using up bits and pieces.
Such a bright and fun card.

Love the fun rainbow Jolanda – your layout kind of reminds me of a painting easel too. Great way to use these primary colours!

Oh, Jolanda! You have found a way to trap sunshine in an envelope and send it off to brighten up anyone’s day! This card is so cute and isn’t just for children (says the 70-year-old woman who would LOVE to find it in her mailbox). As always, you nailed the challenge!
