Cheerful Daisies – Birthday Gift Tag

Welcome back!  Sneaking in a quick little project.  A gift tag for a friend’s birthday.

For Creative Colours (#157), a really great color combo!

I opted to use the Stampin’ Up! Sketch Template #17 found in the Sep – Dec Mini Catalog on page 16.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Base Tag: (4” x 5¼”) Melon Mambo cardstock.
• Accent Tag: (3½” x 4¾”) Night of Navy cardstock.
• Top Tag: (3” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The three pieces of cardstock were aligned at the top and (¾”) was measured from top edge to side edge and trimmed to get the Tag shape.
  • The three Tags were adhered together.  Using the (½”) Circle die from the retired Paper Florist Dies set, the Tag Hole was created.
  • The Tag was then dry-embossed with the retired Cross-Hatch Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
• Shapes – Flowers: Gray Granite, Night of Navy and Melon Mambo cardstock scraps die-cut with all three sets of the Daisy dies from the Cheerful Daisies Dies set.
  • The Flowers were adhered together and arranged on the Tag to resemble the sketch.
• Sentiment Label: Basic White and Night of Navy cardstock scraps.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped with Gray Granite ink onto the (1⅞” x ½”) piece of Basic White and matted with the (2” x ⅝”) piece of Night of Navy.
• A length of White Satin Ribbon, from my stash, was looped through the Tag Hole.

A pretty Tag to go with a gift.
