Sending Warm Hugs – Happy Birthday

Hi again!  Some late afternoon creativity…

Have I ever mentioned that Juicy Purple/Blue and Green/Teal colors are a favorite of mine?  Takes me right back to the way I decorated my bedroom in 1972 which included a bright Lemon-Yellow Mushroom Lamp. LOL!

So, when I saw the Color Throwdown (#809) palette, I was excited picking up Lemon Lime Twist for the Green color.  I paired it up with the current Atlantic Hearts (#593) sketch, minus the Vellum accent, which I rotated to better accommodate my greeting.

Here we go:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4) Diagonal Striped patterned piece of paper from the Close To My Heart Soda Pop Paper Packet that was available from Stampin’ Up!
• Tags: Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, and Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
  • Three sizes: (2¼” x ⅞”); (3¼” x 1⅝”); and (3⅞” x 2”) Tag dies from the retired Tailor Made Tags Dies set were cut.
  • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped into Versamark ink and again into Gorgeous Grape ink onto the Lemon Lime Twist Tag and heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder using the Clear Color Embossing Technique.
  • The sentiment, Sending Warm Hugs from the Gnomes For Summer Cardmaking stamp set, also a Close To My Heart product that was available from Stampin’ Up! , was stamped with Versamark ink onto the Coastal Cabana Tag and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• The three Tags were gathered together and a length of Basic White Baker’s Twine was threaded through and tied into a Bow.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch for a quick and easy bright Birthday card.
