Wildflower Designs – You Are Amazing

Welcome back!  Wow, didn’t this week go by quickly?  Friday already…

Having a play with the Stampin’ Up!’s Creative Challenge – Case a Technique – Spritzing and selected the Tuesday Morning (#771) Sketch and the Creative Colour (#156) Palette to complete my idea(s).

Here is the result:

Steps

• Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Petal Pink Dotted patterned piece of paper from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Strips: (1½” x 3¾”) Petal Pink / Crumb Cake Wood patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
• Accent Mat: (3” x 3”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Focal Image: (2⅞” x 2⅞”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Color was scribbled across the Panel using both the Light and Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • The Floral image from the Wildflower Designs stamp set was inked with Lost Lagoon ink and sprayed with a light misting of water from a water filled Stampin’ Spritzer and then stamped two times for 1^st and 2^nd Generation coloring.
  • The Panel was then slightly misted directly, and the image was inked, spritzed and stamped again two more times in the same manner.  This allowed for more blurring of the image.
• Sentiment: (2⅜” x ½’) White / Crumb Cake Wood patterned piece of scrap paper, also from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The sentiment, You are amazing in every single way, from the Changing Leaves stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Lost Lagoon ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch which was flipped to the mirror image.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and retired Adhesive-Backed Cork Rounds were added for a bit more country charm.

A soft and pretty card for a wonderful friend.
