Simply Zinnia – Thinking of You

Welcome back!  It’s Saturday and before we head out for a bit of fun, I had a chance to play in the Studio.

Combining a few challenges:  The Flower Challenge (#94) with a lovely Color Palette along with the Sketch Saturday (#758) Layout for Krafty Chicks (#730) Any Occasion theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Peach Pie cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Thinking of You fondly, from the Thoughtful Wishes stamp set was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and then dry-embossed with my favorite retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
• Accent Mat: (2⅝” x 3⅞”) Peach Pie cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (2½” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Triple Zinnia image from the Simply Zinnia stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Smoky Slate ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors Chosen: Flowers – Blended Light Lemon Lolly, Light Peach Pie, along with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo over colored with Light Lemon Lolly and Peach Pie; and Leaves – Light and Dark retired Soft Succulent.
• Decorative Accent: Smoky Slate cardstock scrap die-cut with the Leaf Spray die from the Delicate Forest Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The focal image was shifted slightly to the left and the leaf accent was added to the right side.

Sometimes, you just have to make a card Just Because you want to let someone special know they are on your mind.
