Floral Flight – Hello

Happy Saturday!  Hope you are having a good weekend.

I was able to take a detour into the Studio before dinner…playing with Facebook Colour INKspiration (#170), choosing three favorite colors: Lemon Lime Twist, Melon Mambo and Pretty Peacock and creating with the Freshly Made (#648) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
• Decoration – Greenery: (4¼” x 5½”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock die-cut with the Leaf die from the Country Flowers Dies set.  Six pieces were cut.
• Shapes – Butterflies: (2½” x 5½”) Pretty Peacock cardstock die-cut with the medium Butterfly die from the Sketched Butterflies Dies set. Three Butterflies were cut.
• Decoration – Mini Flowers: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Using the Wide-Tipped Water Painter Brush, Melon Mambo ink was water-colored across the strips.
  • Six sets of the Triple Floral die from the Country Flowers Dies set were die-cut.
  • Using the Large Ball Point attachment for the Take Your Pick Tool and the Stampin’ Pierce Mat, the Flowers were pressed in the center to make them pop.
  • The Flowers were then adhered to the Butterfly Wings.
• Sentiment: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The greeting, Hello, from the Unbounded Love stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and then die-cut with the small Stitched Rectangle die from the Wild Ferns Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The three Floral Butterflies were popped up with Dimensionals. 

A special hello card for a friend who loves the butterflies that visit her garden.
