In The Meadow – Sending Love

Design Time: This round Cardz 4 Guyz (#353) is into the Great Outdoors with an associated activity.  Me?  We are on a camping trip, and this is what we saw in the evening twilight.

Other challenges that informed my design decisions.  Inkspirational (#321) Word: Woodland; Farm Quest (#57) Things Found in a Forest; Heart’s Quest (#59) Pine Trees and a Love sentiment; and bringing it all together, the current Sketch Saturday (#756) layout.

Here is the result:

IN THE MEADOW – WONDERLAND – COUNTRY FLOWERS – C4G353 – IC321 – FQCB57 – HQCB59 – SS756

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic Beige Cardstock.
    • I flipped the sketch 180 degrees.
    • Center Shape: The Deer image from the retired In The Meadow stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
    • A second image was stamped onto a Post-It-Note and fussy-cut with Paper Snips and used as a Mask.
    • Left Shape: The Pine Tree image from the retired Wonderland stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
    • Right Shape: The Birch Tree image from the In The Meadow stamp set was stamped twice, also with Mossy Meadow ink.
    • The Mask was removed.
    • Using the Fine-Tipped end of the retired Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker, the trunk of the Birch Tree was added as was Grassy Bits.
    • Additional Grassy Bits were added with the Grass image from the In The Meadow stamp set.
    • The scene was colored with the Light Pecan Pie and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Sentiment: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Sending Love, from the Country Flowers stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

The layers were adhered together and the sentiment was added.

A lovely and serene masculine anniversary card.  #simplestamping, just stamps, ink, and paper.
