Love You Lots

Welcome back!  Off to a slower start today…

Playing with the Facebook Global Design Project (#454) Sketch and the current Creative Colours (#150). 

I chose to incorporate the animal challenges from: Critter Crazy (#88) and Cupcake Inspirations (#598).  Now you might say that Hedgehogs are not jungle animals but these types of animals are found world-wide with the Pygmy Hedgehog found in Africa…so grant me a little leeway.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Cross Strip: (3” x 5½”) Pretty in Pink Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Circle Accent Mat: (3½” x 3½”) Pretty Peacock cardstock die-cut with the (3¼”) Circle die from the retired Circle Collection Framelits Dies set.
• Focal Image Circle: (3½” x 3½”) Pretty in Pink cardstock.
  • The Hedgehogs image from the retired Love You Lots stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Faces – Pecan Pie and the Color Lifter; Bodies – SU200; Fur – SU100; Flower – Dark Pretty in Pink; and Leaf – Light Pretty Peacock.
  • Using the Scatter image from the retired Seascape stamp set, the Ground was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.
  • The image was then die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Banner: Early Espresso cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Love You Lots, from the same stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (2¾” x ½”) Stitched Banner die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  A (4”) length of Pretty in Pink 2024/2026 In-Color (⅜”) Bordered Ribbon was added under the Sentiment Banner which was popped up with Dimensionals.

Such a cute card!
