Waves of Inspiration – Totally Awesome

Hi again!  Catching up on a few deadlines…always happens when you take a few (or more) days off.

Playing with Double Trouble (#170) who is partnering with Park Hopping (July) for a Water theme.

I selected the colors from the Fancy Five Color Dare (#608) choices and picked the TGIF (#481) Sketch to complete my design.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Twisted Rope 3D Embossing Folder because it has a wavy water impression.
• Top Tab Accent: (2⅜” x ¾”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock scrap die-cut with the edge of the Large Rectangle die from the now retired Radiating Stitched Dies set.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 4”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3⅞” x 3⅞”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
  • The Wave image from the retired Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped along the bottom with Lost Lagoon ink.
  • The Wave image was stamped again, off-set, with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder for a frothy look.
  • The Seagull image from the retired Sailing Home stamp set was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink.
• Sentiment Label: (2⅜” x ⅞”) Gorgeous Grape cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You’re so totally awesome, also from the Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.

Are you ready to get onboard for a water park splash adventure?  Me, not so much…I rather catch the crashing of the waves by visiting the ocean.
