Attention Shoppers – Happy Birthday

Design Time: This round Hand Stamped Sentiments (#442) showcases some fun summer bright colors for us to play with.

I selected the Sketch Saturday (#561) layout from 2019 to play along with Sketch Saturday (#754) asking us to pick a sketch from the archives.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Diagonal Strip: (5½ x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The three colors of ink: Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Daffodil Delight were added to the So Swirly Embossing Folder by tapping the edge of the ink pad directly to the folder in a random pattern.
  • Using a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water, the ink was sprayed and allowed to mingle.
  • The cardstock was placed in the folder and then run through the Cut & Emboss Machine.
  • The wet-colored cardstock was then quickly dried by using the Heat Tool.
  • The colored cardstock was then trimmed.  Resultant width is (1⅞”).
• Shapes – Squares: (1¾” x 1¾”) Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Daffodil Delight cardstock scraps.
  • The Wine Bottle, Floral Bouquet and Birthday Cake images from the Attention Shoppers stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Color details were added with the Summer Splash, Petunia Pop and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.
• Sentiment:
  • Once the diagonal strip was in position, the sentiment, Happy Birthday, also from the Attention Shoppers stamp set was stamped diagonally onto the card front with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Floral Bouquet Square was popped up with Dimensionals.

Pretty pops of color for a sweet birthday card.
