Mediterranean Moments – It’s Your Day

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#697) challenge.  This week, Claire is all about Summer and summer fun.  Lots of great imagery to get you started.  I am headed to the beach on my trusty little moped about to zip on down those Mediterranean Coastal cobbled streets.

I selected the Sketch Saturday (#585) layout from 2019 to play along with Sketch Saturday (#754) asking us to pick a sketch from the archives.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
• Banner: (3” x 5¼”) Summer Splash Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack hand-notched with Paper Snips.
• Polaroid Accent Mat: (3⅜” x 3⅝”) Petunia Pop cardstock.
• Polaroid Frame: (3¼” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, It’s Your Day, from the Penciled Pear stamp set was stamped with Pebbled Path ink and the “2024” was written by hand using a Black Liquid Gel Pen.
• Photo Edge Mat: (2½” x 2½”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
• Focal Photo: (2⅜” x 2⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Street Scene image from the retired Mediterranean Moments stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Scene was quickly water colored.  Method: Stampin’ Write Markers were scribbled onto a Stamping Block and picked up with the Fine-Tipped Water Painter Brush.  Colors selected: Moped – Summer Splash, Smoky Slate and Pebbled Path; Flowers – Petunia Pop; Door and Walls – Pecan Pie; and Ground – Pebbled Path.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Polaroid was popped up with Dimensionals.

Fun memories of a trip to Greece one summer long ago.
