Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#696) challenge. This week, Anne-Marie has given us a Tic Tac Toe Board to work with. Lots of possibilities with eight different combinations. I selected the left-side down: Stars/Stipes, Birthday, and Twine.

Additional inspiration: Festive Friday (#162) selecting a number of the possible elements; Just Add Ink (#708) choosing Embossing and White.

Bringing it all together, I selected the As You See It (#326) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Splatter 3D Embossing Folder.
- Background Panel: (4½” x 3½”) Blueberry Bushel Gingham patterned piece of paper from the retired Glorious Gingham Designer Series Paper pack.
- Shape – Star: Real Red cardstock scrap.
- The retired Canvas Background stamp was inked with Versamark ink, and the cardstock piece was pressed onto the large stamp. The design was then heat-set with White Embossing Powder and die-cut with the (2”) Star die from the retired Stars Framelits Dies set.
- Sentiment: (3½” x 1½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The word: Celebrate on the inside top of the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder was inked with Real Red ink.
- The coordinating Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Die was set in place over the cardstock piece and then the folder was closed and passed through the Cut & Emboss Machine resulting in the Real Red outlined embossed die-cut.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. A triple Linen Twine Bow was tied and added to the Star.

I really like this, Jolanda. I like the texture of the star that you’ve created, then the warmth of the plaid and then the additional texture of the layer beneath. Your colour choices are lovely too. Thanks for sharing with us again at As You See It.
