Country Flowers – Best Friend

One more Designer card today for this week’s Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#462).  The card we are case-ing can be found on page 64 of the Annual Catalog. 

Additional Inspiration: Inspire Create (#168) for the colors.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
  • The small Flourish image from the Country Flowers stamp set was stamped in the upper right and lower left corners with Fresh Freesia ink.
• Cross Panels: (3½” x 1¼”) Fresh Freesia cardstock dry-embossed with the Cute Crochet 3D Embossing Folder.
• Shapes – Flowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Floral image, also from the Country Flowers stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • The Flowers were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Poppy Parade and Smoky Slate.
  • The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating die from the Country Flowers Dies set.
• Strips: (3” x ⅜”) Bubble Bath cardstock scraps.
  • The sentiment, Best. Friend. Ever., from the same stamp set was stamped on one strip with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  I chose to put the top strip behind the Floral shape instead of in front and truncated the sentiment with the top Floral Shape which I popped up with Dimensionals.  Several Fresh Freesia Tinsel Gems were added for a bit of bling to complete the card.

A pretty friendship card.
