Birthday Brew – Bubble Over

Welcome to the newest Cardz 4 Guyz (#348) challenge, this round asks for Beverages.

I tied this theme into the following challenges:  Tic Tac Toe (#248) center line; Color Dare (#601) opting for the blue to go with the red; and selecting the Saturday Sketch (#751) for the layout.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5½” x 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
• Center Shape – Beer Bottles: Very Vanilla cardstock scraps and the retired Bubble Over stamp set.
  • The larger Beer Bottle image was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
  • The Bottles were die-cut with the coordinating retired Bottles & Bubbles Framelits Dies set.
  • Label – Star: The Circle Star image was stamped with Afternoon Azure ink and the Star was colored in with the Dark Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blend Marker.
  • Label – Sentiment: The sentiment, Have a Birthday Brew!, was inked with both the Poppy Parade and Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • The Labels were fussy-cut with Paper Snips to fit the Label Space on the Beer Bottles.
• Circle Shapes & Bottle Caps: Brushed Silver cardstock scraps (retired but still in my stash) die-cut with the two Bottle Caps dies also from the same Dies set.
• Cross Strips: Poppy Parade and Azure Afternoon cardstock scraps.
  • Poppy (4½” x ½”) and Azure (4¾” x ½”) with a slanted trim.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the top Beer Bottle popped up with Dimensionals.

A fun, summer bright guy birthday card!
