Wanted To Say – You’re Too Kind

One more for today…please indulge me.

Over at Sunday Stamps (#335), we are presented with a lovely Seashell image and a slate of very pretty colors.

As I continued to look at the Inspiration Photo, I was seeing and focusing in on the circular shells and they reminded me of the new Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder.  What if…

From the color line up, I selected Soft Sea Foam for the pale green, Fresh Freesia for the plummy pink and Lost Lagoon for the darker green (which may better match to Old Olive but wanted to stay in the gray tones and not introduce a yellow tone).

The current, Tuesday Morning (#757) Sketch was a great fit for my idea.  The central circle shape mimicked the circular shell.

Here is the result:

WANTED TO SAY DIES – DOTTED CIRCLES 3D EF – SSC335 – TMS757

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Soft Sea Foam cardstock.
  • Shape – Circle: (2¾” x 2¾”) Fresh Freesia cardstock die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
    • The Circle was adhered to the Background.
    • The Panel was dry-embossed with the Dotted Circle 3D Embossing Folder ensuring the middle circle of the embossing folder was centered on the die-cut Circle.
  • Sentiment: Fresh Freesia and Lost Lagoon cardstock scraps.
    • The sentiment, you’re too kind and the base trim were die-cut with the coordinating dies from the Wanted To Say Dies set.
    • They were adhered together.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch for an interesting textured no stamp, no ink thank you card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
