Grace’s Garden – Sending Love – The Inque Spot Studio

Welcome back! Friday again, here’s to hoping you have a creative weekend.

Today I am playing with: Heart’s Quest (#53) choosing Fence/Gate and Love Die-Cut; the Color Hues (#86) combo Lilac & Lime; and Case-ing a card created by Verity Pursglove for Inspire Create (#167) which featured three Shapes on a matted card layout.

Here is what I came up with:

GRACE”S GARDEN – HOORAY FOR SURPRISES – HQCB53 – ICC167 – TCH86

Steps:

Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Highland Heather cardstock.
Background Panel: (3¾” plus a smidge x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
- The truncated sentiment, Sending you lots of, from the Hooray for Surprises stamp set was stamped with Highland Heather ink.
Shapes – Garden Fence Gate, Garden Flowers and Pussy Cat: Basic White cardstock scraps.
- All images are from the retired Grace’s Garden stamp set stamped with Smoky Slate ink and die-cut with the coordinating dies from the retired Garden Gateway Dies set.
- Shadows were added to the Garden Fence Gate with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
- The Garden Flowers were colored with both the Light and Dark Highland Heather and Lemon-Line Twist Stampin’ Blends Markers.
Love Die-Cut – Lemon-Lime Twist cardstock scrap die-cut with the Word die from the retired Sunshine & Wishes Thinlits Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the original sketch but moving the matted scene a little right and down. The Garden Flowers and Pussy Cat were popped up with Dimensionals and the die-cut was added to complete the greeting.

I like how delicate this card turned out. I am sending all my love heaven-bound for my mother and mother-in-law for this coming Mother’s Day.
