Cup of Tea – Let’s Get Together

Hi again!  Playing with Color…

Today, I started with the Time Out (#262) Inspiration Photo.  Takeaway?  Overall sketch plan, gingham and a busy pattern.

Playing with the Facebook Colour INKspiration (#164) palette to celebrate the retiring 2022/2024 In-Colors and tying into the Colorful Options (May) Royal Blue Teacup and as always, a Rainbow of colors by using the retired Cup of Tea stamp set and the retired Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Starry Sky cardstock.
• Top Panel: (5¼” x 2¾”) Colorful Teapots patterned piece of paper.
• Accent Trim: (5¼” x ¼”) Sweet Sorbet cardstock scrap.
• Bottom Panel: (5¼” x 1¼”) Starry Sky Gingham patterned piece of paper.
• Tab Element: (2”) Sweet Sorbet Bordered Ribbon (retired) folded.
• Sentiment Accent: Orchid Oasis cardstock scrap punched out with the retired (1⅜) Scallop Circle Punch.
• Sentiment: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Let’s Get Together Soon, was stamped with Starry Sky ink and then die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the handmade bag made by Kim Heggins that I used as the inspiration for the sketch layout.  The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and the Ribbon Tab was tucked underneath it.

I am going to miss these bright and beautiful colors but I am sure they will crop up in some future cards.
