Hats Off To You! – Guy Greetings

Welcome back!  Off to a good start this morning…

Today’s combination includes: The Male Room (#185) to use employ Embossing techniques; Addicted To CAS (#256) for a clean and simple Monochromatic Color scheme; and bringing it all together, the TGIF (#468) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pebbled Path cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Double Pattern Line image from the retired Plane & Simple stamp set was stamped into Versamark ink and then Pebbled Path ink and added across the card to represent the Cross Strip.  The image was then heat-set with Clear Embossing Powder, using the Clear Color Embossing Technique.
  • The sentiment, Hats Off To You!, from the retired Guy Greetings stamp set was stamped between the lines with Pebble Path ink.
• Shapes – Squares: Pebbled Path cardstock scrap.
  • The Six Hat image from the Guy Greetings stamp set was used.
  • Each Hat was individually inked with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Each Hat was then punched out with a (¾”) Square Punch.
• Assembly: The Squares were arranged and adhered under the Greeting Strip to resemble sketch and the completed panel was then adhered to the card base.

A nice monochromatic clean and simple guy card just in time for graduations or any other reason to celebrate the men!
