It is going to be a busy day tomorrow. So, I am getting a little ahead by playing with the Inspire Create (#165) Sketch and the Color Dare (#595) Palette for a few others: Shopping Our Stash (#519) Shower theme and Time Out (#261) Quote Word “Dreamy” for wondering if the baby is a boy or a girl.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5⅜” x 4⅛”) Petal Pink cardstock dry-embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder.
- Shapes – Circles: Basic White cardstock pieces die-cut with various Stitched Circle dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- (2½”) The Expectant Mother image from the retired Wonderful Moments stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Hair – Light Wild Wheat and Bronze; Skin – Light Petal Pink; and Dress – Light and Dark Pool Party.
- (3”) The Party Guest and Balloons images were also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Balloon 1 – Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo; Balloon 2 – Light and Dark Pool Party; Balloon 3 – retired Light and Dark Mint Macaron; Hair – Bronze; Skin – Light Petal Pink; and Dress – Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo.
- (1⅝”) The Gift Bag image was stamped twice and colored. Colors Chosen: Bag 1 – Dark Soft Sea Foam and Dark Pool Party and Tissue – Light Soft Seafoam; Bag 2 – Dark Petal Pink and Light Flirty Flamingo and Tissue – Dark Flirty Flamingo.
- Sentiment Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Looking forward to meeting your new little miracle!, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die-cut with the (2⅛” x ⅞”) Stitched Banner die also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped mirror image of the sketch and as the Circle shapes were larger, I omitted the Cross Strip. The Sentiment Banner was popped up with Dimensionals.
What fun to have a Baby Shower and not yet know whether the child is a boy or a girl, just dreaming about becoming a mother and hoping for a healthy one.

Such a lovely card for an expectant mother. I love it on the rare occasion that people do not find out the sex of their baby ahead of time. I love your take on our quote too. THanks for playing with us at Time Out, Jolanda. It’s always a joy to see you in the gallery!

This pretty card really speaks to me right now – one of my nieces is expecting her first (boy) at the end of August. AND they had the gender reveal last week and her Mom brought two gifts, one in a pink bag and one in a blue bag. lol This is lovely, Jolanda. Always a treat to see you at Color Dare.
