Feather Flight – New Adventure

Welcome to the newest round of the Cardz 4 Guyz (#345) and Hand Stamped Sentiments (#436) challenges. I have combined them… clean and simple with the suggested colors.

My stamp set choice was influenced by Make My Monday (#223) for Birds and Alphabet (Letter A) for Adventure.  I am also sharing this card with Simple Clean and Simple (#10) for Anything Goes.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Beige cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Garden Green cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • Using a Blending Brush, Petal Pink ink was added to the center of the panel.
  • Using Stampin’ Write Markers, the Water image from the Feathered Flight stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was colored.  Colors chosen: Rocks – Pecan Pie; Reeds – Garden Green; and Water – Pretty Peacock.
  • Similarly, the Mallard Duck image, from the same stamp set was colored with Petal Pink – Beak and Neck Ring; Garden Green – Body; and Pretty Peacock – Wings.
  • The sentiment, new day, new adventure, also from the same stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink.

And that is it!  Just stamps, ink and paper for a super clean and simple guy card using an interesting set of colors.
