Happy Birthday

As I mentioned in the previous post (A Happy Hooray), I was playing with the Color Throwdown (#787) colors, and I created a second card.  This one is a fun Birthday card that can be ideal for a fellow.

Here is the result:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY THINLITS DIE – EMBOSSING FOLDERS – CTD787

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Cross Hatch patterned Basics 3D Embossing Folder, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Background Strip: (2¾” x 5½”) Coastal Cabana cardstock dry-embossed with the Diamond patterned Fun Patterns Embossing Folder.  Also, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Background Shape: (3⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Circle die-cut using that same sized Circle die from the Deckled Circles Dies set, now available On-Line.
    • The side edges were trimmed.
  • Sentiment: (3½” x 3”) retired Bermuda Bay cardstock from my scrap bin die-cut with the retired Happy Birthday Thinlits Die.

Lots of tactile texture for this cool birthday card.  Keeping it simple for the guys!
