Cheerful Daisies – Notes of Nature Birthday

Playtime!!  It is so good to be back in the Studio.

Several related challenges:  Seize the Birthday (#279) creating a matching tag; Tic Tac Toe (#243) Style, Color, Materials; Festive Friday (#155) also for Color, Materials and Sentiment; Inspired By (#281) for Daisies and Color; and bringing it all together, Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#643).

Here is the result:

CHEERFUL DAISIES – NOTES OF NATURE – STB279 – TTTC243 – FF0155 – IB281 – TSOT643

Steps:

CARD

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Large Daisy Outline stamp from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and again on Masking Paper and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
    • The Large Daisy In-Fill stamp was added with Lemon Lolly ink.
    • The Daisy was then masked.
    • The Smaller Daisy Outline stamp was then stamped two times, above and below the original Daisy, with Daffodil Delight ink.
    • The Smaller Daisy In-Fill stamp was then added with Lemon Lolly ink.
    • With the Mask in place, the Grid image from the Notes of Nature stamp set was stamped to the left of the Flowers.
    • The sentiment, Today is all about you – Happy Birthday, from the same stamp set was stamped with Balmy Blue ink.
    • The Mask was removed, and the Daisy Flower centers, large and small, were stamped with Balmy Blue ink.
    • Per the Tic Tac Toe and Festive Friday requirements, both Pearls and Rhinestones were added.

TAG

  • Tag: (4¼” x 2¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock die-cut using one of the Largest Tag dies from the Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
    • The truncated sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the same stamp as used on the card was stamped carefully into Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Decoration – Daisies: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Small Daisy images, Outline and In-Fill were stamped three times as described above and die-cut with the coordinating die from the Cheerful Daisies Dies set.
    • The Daisies were adhered to the Tag with one popped up with Dimensionals and a (6”) piece of retired White Crinkle Ribbon was looped through the Tag Hole.
    • Pearls and Rhinestones were also added to match.

A very clean and simple subtle spring birthday card with a fun matching tag.
