Inspirational Sketches – You’re in my Thoughts

Welcome back! I snuck in another card. Using what was still on my desk and a scrap I found when cleaning up.

Playing with the Facebook Colour INKspiration (#161) and Atlantic Heart’s (#569) sketch challenges.

Here is the result:

INSPIRATIONAL SKETCHES – THOUGHTFUL EXPRESSIONS – CI161 – AHSC569

Steps:

Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden cardstock.
Frame: (4¼” x 2⅞”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- This piece was found in my “to be used for something else” pile and had the Square opening die cut with the (1⅞” x 1⅞”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
- The Panel was tilted to make the Frame square and the side points were trimmed off.
- The sentiment, You’re in my Thoughts today, from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set was stamped with Garden Green ink.
- The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
Inset – Floral Image: (2¼” x 2¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- The Floral image from the Inspirational Sketches stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The Floral image was colored with Melon Mambo, Moody Mauve, Garden Green and Crushed Curry inks using a Blender Pen picking up color from the Ink Pad Lids.

The Floral image was adhered behind the tilted Frame Panel and several Brushed Brass Butterflies were added to the card.
