So Hoppy Together – Good Luck Wishes

Welcome back!  Next week will be St. Patrick’s Day and there are a number of Green and Gold challenges about.  Here is my tribute…

Festive Friday (#154) partnering with Double Trouble (#161) for theme and colors; Inspired By (#279) for theme, colors and sketch; Just Us Girls (#717) colors adding a bit of Red; and Time Out (#258) with the Glorious Green Frog.  Did you know Frogs, Toads and Turtles are favorites of mine?

Here is the result:

SO HOPPY TOGETHER – LOVELY WISHES – POWER OF HOPE – FF0154 – DT161 – IB279 – JUGS717 – TOC258

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Old Olive cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Leafy Floral image from the retired Lovely Wishes stamp set was stamped with Old Olive ink and colored with the Light Sweet Sorbet and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.
    • The greeting, Good Luck, from the retired Power of Hope stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
    • The panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Shape (1) – Lily Pad: (3½” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap covered with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and die-cut with the Lily Pad die from the retired Hop Around Framelits Dies set.
  • Shape (1) – Sitting Frog: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Shape (2) – Hopping Frog: Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Shape (3) – Hopping Frog: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The two Frog images from the retired So Hoppy Together stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • One Hopping Frog was stamped reverse-mirror style onto the Silicone Craft Sheet with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the cardstock was pressed onto it.
    • All of the Frogs were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark Granny Apple Green and Dark Sweet Sorbet to mimic the red feet and spots of the inspiration photo.
    • All of the Frogs were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Frogs were popped up with Dimensionals and a few Champagne colored Rhinestone Basic Jewels were added to the Flower for a bit bling.

Such a fun card!  Those Frogs are just so happy for you and certainly wish you all the best luck.

  2. Jolanda, what a fun card… my husband loved frogs and then I fell in love and was always shopping frogs for birthdays and holidays… which gave us quite a collection back in New York but when we moved to AZ we sold or gave away many and kept our favorites. Thanks again for sharing with us at Double Trouble and Festive Friday.
