Stippled Roses – Sending Thanks

Welcome back!  Friday again…and the weekend is almost here…but first a few challenges.

Over at The Flower Challenge (#89), a square card is desired. The current Freshly Made (#626) sketch is also square, and I chose the to use the Color Throwdown (#783) suggestions because they were ideal colors for flowers. I am also sharing this card with Krafty Chicks (#706) requiring the use of stamps.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 4¼” scored at 4¼”) Petal Pink cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4⅛” x 4⅛”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The Curved Leaf Branch image from the Stippled Roses stamp set was stamped with retired Soft Suede ink in the upper left and lower right positions to represent the Semi-Circle Shapes.
  • The Leaf Branches were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light and Dark retired Soft Succulent and Light Crumb Cake.
  • The sentiment, Sending Thanks, from the same stamp set was stamped with retired Soft Succulent ink.
• Decoration – Roses: Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • The Large Rose image from the same stamp set was also stamped with Soft Suede ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The Roses were colored with both the Light and Dark Petal Pink and the Leaves with Light and Dark Soft Succulent.
  • The Roses were cut apart and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.  Several of the Leaves were also trimmed away.

The Background Panel was adhered to the card base and the larger fussy-cut Rose was adhered in place.  The smaller fussy-cut Rose was popped up with Dimensionals.

Such a pretty Thank You card.
