Enduring Beauty – You’re in my Thoughts

It is the beginning of a new work week.  I am a little ahead of the game for a couple of Tuesday challenges.  Facebook’s Stampin’ Through the Catalog is featuring Enduring Beauty and I opted to use Facebook’s Case-ing Tuesday (#449) sketch that can be found on page 43 of the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog.

I modified the sketch to support Just Add Ink (#690) and Make My Monday (#220) both looking for Fun / Fancy Folds and chose the current Creative Colours (#130) suggestions for a fixed back Z-Fold card.

Here is the result:

ENDURING BEAUTY BUNDLE – GORGEOUSLY MADE – HILLS OF TUSCANY – CT449 – STTC – JAI690 – MMM220 – CCC130

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼” and 2⅛”) Tahitian Tide cardstock.
  • Background Panels: (1⅞” x 5¼”) and (4” x 5¼”) Orchid Oasis Dashed patterned pieces of paper from the 2022/2024 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Accent Mats: (3⅛” x 4⅜”) and (2⅝” x 4⅜”) Orchid Oasis cardstock.  (After all was said and done, I think I may choose to use Old Olive if I make this card again).
  • Focal Panels: (3” x 4¼”) and (2½” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Front Panel – The Background Script image from the Gorgeously Made stamp set was stamped with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation Tahitian Tide ink.
    • Inside Left Panel – A section of the Floral image from the Enduring Beauty stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  Using Blending Brushes and the Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, and Old Olive inks were added.
    • Both Panels were dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Focal Image – Floral Spray: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The complete Floral image from the Enduring Beauty stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored as described above.
    • The Floral Spray was die-cut with the coordinating die from the Enduring Beauty Dies set.
    • A pop-up circle was die-cut from the Floral Spray with the (2⅛”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: (2¼” x ⅜”) Old Olive cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, You’re in my thoughts, from the Hills of Tuscany stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The Label was cut on the diagonal with Paper Snips.

The front fold-back panel was fixed.  The Floral Spray, Pop-Up Circle and Sentiment Label were adhered to the front panel to resemble the original sketch and the inside left panel was adhered for decoration and the blank greeting panel was adhered in place matching the front panel.
