Hills of Tuscany – Great Friend

Welcome to Sunday and the newest Paper Players (#677) challenge.  Ann is asking us to create a Clean & Simple Friendship card this week.

I have been influenced by CAS on Friday (#277) which is looking for a Masculine card and chose to CASE the overall layout design created by Elodie Ventroux for the Global Design Project (#432) making it a clean and simple sketch which I flipped to the horizontal position.  I am also sharing this card with Krafty Chicks (#703) for their monthly CAS challenge.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5¼” x 4”) Crumb Cake cardstock dry-embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder for a little tone-on-tone contrast.
• Accent Panel: (4¾” x 2¾”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • The Textured Strip image from the Gorgeously Made stamp set was stamped with 2^nd Generation Pecan Pie ink five times.
  • The sentiment, You’re a great friend, also from the Gorgeously Made stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
• Focal Panel: (4” x 3”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Various stamp images from the Hills of Tuscany stamp set were used to create the scene.  Sky Clouds – Balmy Blue ink; Water – Misty Moonlight ink; Hills – Old Olive ink; Trees – Mossy Meadow ink; House – Pecan Pie ink; and Roof – Copper Clay ink.
  • The scene was die-cut with the (3¾” x 2¼”) Rectangle die from the Everyday Details Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch layout.  The stamped scene was popped up with Dimensionals.
