Santa is Done – Time for Tea

Hi!  Back again for the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#447) sketch.

There are several Christmas challenges about.  Never too early to build up your stash.  For Jingle Belles (#2403); Caffeinated Christmas (#26); and Krafty Chicks (#702).

Here is the result:

SO VERY MERRY – CT447 – JB2403 – CCCC26 – KCC702

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (5” x 3½”) Real Red cardstock dry-embossed with the Snowflake Sky 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Accent Strips: (4¼” x ⅝”) Real Red Flourish patterned piece of paper from the Traditions of St. Nick Designer Series Paper pack and Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Basic White cardstock was colored with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend Marker.
    • The tiny Tea Cup image from the retired Merry Café stamp set was stamped with Pool Party ink and outline details were added with my Black Fine-Tipped Liquid Gel Pen.
    • With the Pecan Pie and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers, the Tea and small Heart were added.
    • The sentiment, It’s time for tea, from the retired Cup of Tea stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Circle Element Accent Mat: Pool Party Striped piece of patterned paper from the Free Sale-a-bration Sunny Days Designer Series Paper pack was punched out with a (2½”) Circle Punch.
  • Circle Element: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Santa Stained Glass Window image from the So Very Merry stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • The Window was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Face – Ivory; Hat / Shoulder / Mitten – Light and Dark Real Red; Santa Sac – Light and Dark Sweet Sorbet; and Background – Light Pool Party.
    • The sentiment, Very Merry, was stamped with Real Red ink.
    • The Window was then punched out with a (2¼”) Circle Punch.

All  pieces were arranged to resemble the sketch with the Window popped up with Dimensionals over wrapped Basic White Baker’s Twine added to the background panel.

A well deserved cup of Tea for a job well done, don’t you think?

  1. Oh what an amazing card, every detail is so wonderfully well considered and composed. I especially love the little hits of teal that make the red even redder, somehow! So happy you could join our celebration of RED at Jingle Belles!
