Welcome back! Monday and a brand-new week…let’s have some fun.
Over at Farm Quest (#45) the theme is Porch Furniture. I dug out an old favorite stamp set, Sitting Here for this. I selected the Color Throwdown (#779) suggested colors and took inspiration from the Paper Craft Crew (#556) sketch design which I flipped. Much of the design also depends on texture, So I will enter this card into Can You Handle The Pressure (#49).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.
- Focal Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
- The Hanging Porch Swing image was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
- The Swing was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Cording – Dark Lemon Lime Twist; Wood – Light and Dark Crumb Cake; and Bench Pillow – Light Lemon Lime Twist and Dark Balmy Blue.
- The bottom of the panel was dry-embossed on an angle with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder.
- A demarcation Wall / Porch definition line and Planking lines were added with a Ruler using the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker.
- The top of the panel was dry-embossed with the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder.
- Both the Planking and the Wall were brushed with Early Espresso ink applied with a Blending Brush.
- Decoration – Dog, Plant Pot and Pillows: Very Vanilla cardstock scraps.
- The three images were stamped with Early Espresso ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors Chosen – Light and Dark Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake.
- All images were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Sentiment Banner: (2¾” x ½”) Balmy Blue cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, come and sit a while with me, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
- The edges were snipped on the diagonal.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the flipped interpretation of the sketch. The Pillow, Pot Plant and Dog were popped up with Dimensionals.
Doesn’t that Porch Swing look inviting? The kettle is on, and the tea is almost ready. Let us sit and gab!
